The Black Hills Association of REALTORS® Awards Presentations were held on June 18, 2009 and sponsored by The Black Hills Federal Credit Union. The Affiliate of the Year, Pioneer Award, Rising Star Award, Don Zenk "Spirit of Cooperation", and REALTOR® of the Year awards for 2009 where presented.
Kevin Kuehn, current Black Hills Association of REALTORS® president, welcomed over 130 that attended the event. Andy Mahowald, National Director from Watertown, and Michelle Kleven, SDAR Executive Vice President from Pierre, shared remarks. Past award winners recognized the talents, contributions, and commitment of association members and affiliates.

| Dave Jones, 2009 REALTOR® of the Year, is currently on the local Board of Directors, is a State Director, serves on the local Technology Committee, State Membership Services Committee, and last year’s Rising Star Award winner. |

| John Sundby, Don Zenk Spirit of Cooperation Award recipient shows a true spirit of cooperation during real estate transactions. John is described as being fair and understanding to both parties during a deal. |
Kris Brice, Rising Star Award Award recipient, promotes professional enthusiasm, and best exemplify the Code of Ethics. Kris is currently BHAR’s Secretary/Treasurer, has worked on several committees, and keeps abreast with the most current technology. |

| Curt Johnson, Pioneer Award winner, was recognized for talents, contributions, and commitment made in the industry over the past 38 years. He is a past Don Zenk “Spirit of Cooperation” award winner and holds the GRI, CRS, and ABR designations. |
First American Title Company, Affiliate of the Year. FATCO was recognized for providing outstanding support to the real estate industry and community. They are regularly involved in the REALTOR® Association by attending functions, sponsoring events, and contributing to new member orientation. |
